PhaseLocked® Technology is a multi-patent cable system that minimises destructive effect of entrainment by a factor of ten.
Typically, over 90% of signal transfer in an audio system happens in the cables. And every cable adds its own disruptive effects to the audio signal passing through it.
When an electrical signal passes through a cable, the physical properties of the cable cause a fraction of the signal’s energy to be momentarily absorbed by the cable and then released back into the signal.
This phenomenon, of electro-mechanical entrainment disrupts the audio signal. Specifically, the phase synchronicity and high-frequency markers. Without them, our brain can no longer process the natural fidelity and nuance of the original sound.
The causes of entrainment relate to the design, materials, structure, and manufacture of the cable and how they impact its electrical, mechanical, and magnetic domains.
